Newspaper, “The Boston Gazette, or Weekly Journal”, 4p. folio, June 23, 1747, with international news mostly dedicated to the advances of the French Army, and domestic events in the Colonies are reported, including a house fire started by an Indian maid servant, a negro slave drowing in a river at Stonington, an Order by the Governor requiring all persons “who have any French Prisoners in their Hands...to give in teh Names of such Prisoners...into the Secretarys Office...”. Advertisements on verso include one for a sale at ‘publick venue’ by Benjamin Church. VG.
