An automobile accident, outside Hyattsville Maryland on March 31, 1953, took the life of John R. Baxter. Baxter's car was being passed by a semi when the semi blew a tire, causing it to swerve into Baxter's lane and finally rolling over Baxter's car. The archive includes the newspaper clipping of that accident. And, a letter which presents five snap shot photos. Each of the five has a descriptive caption on the back: Body at left under sheet; Body of John Baxter under sheet; Removing Victims body; Removing station wagon from scene; and Just south of New Hotel - Rte 301.
