Colonial land deed, July 1, 1776, 1pp., folio, vellum, scolloped edge, fully manuscript, very good. A land transfer between Sarah Lownes and James Humphreys. Humphreys was a Tory who had taken an oath of allegiance to the King of England, published The Pennsylvania Ledger which sported the King’s Arms in the masthead.
