Nice group autograph material of American military personalities, includes: ROOSEVELT, Jr., Theodore (1858-1919) was an American statesman and writer who served as the 26th President of the United States from 1901 to 1909. He also served as the 25th Vice President of the United States from March to September 1901 and as the 33rd Governor of New York from 1899 to 1900. As a leader of the Republican Party during this time, he became a driving force for the Progressive Era in the United States in the early 20th century. His face is depicted on Mount Rushmore, alongside those of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln. Signed Card “T. Roosevelt” Fine condition...plus ; ROOSEVELT III, Theodore "Ted" (1887-1944), known as Theodore Roosevelt Jr.,was an American government, business, and military leader. He was the eldest son of President Theodore Roosevelt and First Lady Edith Roosevelt. Roosevelt is known for his World War II service, including the directing of troops at Utah Beach during the Normandy landings, for which he received the Medal of Honor. He is best known for his victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish–American War. He served as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army, Military Governor of Cuba, and Governor General of the Philippines. He began his military career as an army doctor on the frontier, where he received the Medal of Honor. Bradley was the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and oversaw the U.S. military's policy-making in the Korean War. Signed Photograph “Omar N. Bradley” with “A” patch. Fine condition...plus; ARNOLD, William Howard (1901- 1976) was a Lieutenant General in the United States Army. Signed “United for Victory” cover “WH Arnold.” and free franked by him. His most famous post was when he served as the commander of the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) on the Western Front in World War I, 1917–18. Typed Letter Signed “John J. Fine condition....plus; GROVES, Jr., Leslie Richard (1896-1970) was a United States Army Corps of Engineers officer who oversaw the construction of the Pentagon and directed the Manhattan Project, a top secret research project that developed the atomic bomb during World War II. Signed card “L.R. Groves Maj. Gen. USA.” Fine conditin...plus; RIDGWAY, Matthew Bunker (1895-1993) was the 19th Chief of Staff of the United States Army. He served with distinction during World War II, where he was the Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division, leading it in action in Sicily, Italy and Normandy, before taking command of the newly formed XVIII Airborne Corps in August 1944, holding this post until the end of the war, commanding it in the Battle of the Bulge, Operation Varsity and the Western Allied invasion of Germany. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s and played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II. He received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines Campaign, which made him and his father Arthur MacArthur Jr., the first father and son to be awarded the medal. He was one of only five men ever to rise to the rank of General of the Army in the US Army, and the only man ever to become a field marshal in the Philippine Army. Wainwright was a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his courageous leadership during the fall of the Philippines. Signed card and signed free franked cover “J.M Wainwright” Fine condition....plus; COUSTEAU, Jacques-Yves (1910-1997) was a French naval officer, explorer, conservationist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water.
