Philadelphia. 1792, Small folio broadside. Dbd. Small contemporary numerical inscription in lower-left margin. Near fine, untrimmed. "Approved, May eighth, 1792." Congressional printing of an act passed by the first session of the Second Congress, compensating the commissioners who adjudicated loan claims in various states for their costs. This law extended a similar law passed the previous year "the hire of clerks" as a reimbursable expense for the loans commissioners. Signed in print by Speaker of the House Frederick Jonathan Trumbull, President pro tempore of the Senate Richard Henry Lee, and George Washington.
