From the front page, column headline "Siege of Charleston One Hundred and Eighty-Ninth Day" provides the details. "The bombardment continued ... the enemy average of ten shots an hour." The paper is loaded with a dozen war reports, "Our Danger, Our Duty", The New Conscripts", "The Georgia Cavalry", Mexico Recognized The Confederacy" .... and many other reports.
