Two early engravings, French Language, each 7” x 9,” presented in shrink-wrapped mat. The first shows a slave [escalve] serving a Femmes Qualite [woman of quality], who is also black. The second shows Africans preparing Manioc on the coast with a tall ship in the background. Manioc was a meal used to feed slaves aboard slave ships. nd., c1770’s.
