A complete and authentic issue of the Gentleman’s Magazine (London), April 1759, 48pp., disbound, VG. In small part this 2/3 column reports “The news papers inform us that a Comet has been seen ... in France, Germany and England. The Paris astronomer observed it ... near the tail of Capricorn affirm it to be the same as that of the year 1682, which Dr. Haley predicted to return ....” Additionally, this issue has two fold out maps. “The Road of Toulon,” 11” x 8.” And “Map of the Seat of the War on the Rhine,” 10” x 8.”
