A complete and authentic issue of the Gentleman’s Magazine, October 1790, 96pp., disbound, near fine. From the interior, a full page engraving, “Portrait Supposed to be Sir Francis Drake, from the original in the possession of C. Chadwick, Esq.” A two page letter written by Chadwick explains the provance of the painting.
