The framed silk broadside, 6" x 12-1/2" is titled "Delvan House, By Colburn & Sisson, TAYLOR AND FILLMORE, Electoral Supper, December 6, 1848." It continues with the Bill of Fare, Soups, Roasts, Entrees, Game, Vegetables, Pastry, Ornaments, Preserves and Dessert. The fancy menu was printed by H.H. Van Dyck. Delvan House was a Luxury Hotel in Albany. With Taylor as their candidate, the Whigs won their second and last victory in a Presidential election. Taylor won the Electoral College by capturing 163 of the 290 electoral votes. Taylor out-polled Cass in the popular vote by 138,000 votes, winning 47% of the popular vote, and was elected president.
