HART, John (1711-1779) an American Founding Father, farmer, and politician in colonial New Jersey. As a delegate to the Continental Congress, Hart signed the Declaration of Independence. He died several years before. A choice six-shilling note issued by the Colony of New Jersey and signed by JOHN HART (1711 - 1779), Signer of the Declaration of Independence from that state. Black/Red. Ornate border printed in black, with crest and denomination printed in red. These notes were made legal tender by an Act of March 25, 1776. A nice example of Colonial Currency for any collection of Financial History. Uncirculated. A choice example for the collector of this material.
