Two newspapers “Washington Federalist” January 17 & 19, 1809, both 4pp. with runaway slave and slave sale ads. Good descriptive text includes one being “an African by birth”. Also two ads where Francis Scott Key is listed as trustee for the sale of 300 acres of land for John D. Scott. Both near fine condition.
