On 10/4/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. CT 27th Infantry, promoted Sergt 1/1/1863, promoted 2nd Lieut 3/22/1864 (As of Co. E 31st USCT Infantry, )promoted 1st Lieut 11/30/1864 27th CT Vols, color bearer. 1pg, extraneous pencil marks else fine.
