Union Document Signed “S. Baker 1st Lt. 6th US Infy” 2pp. quarto, Head Quarters, Coosawhatchie, Lawtonville, South Carolina, November 9, 1865, being Special Orders No. 25, and reads “1st Lieut W. Wood, 104th USC Troops is hereby charged with serving the accompanying summons on the following named persons who are to appear before the General Court Martial convened at Hilton Head SC - Mr. Raymond Mears, Alex, Clara, Julia, Emma [all are noted as being “Colored who live at Mean’s Plantation”] and Flora (Col.) who lives at Thomas H. Willingham’s Swamp Plantation. 1st Lieut W. Wood 104th USC Troops will take charge of the above named persons while enroute to Hilton Head S.C. and will turn them over to 1st Lieut C.M Pyne...” Very good condition.
