War-date Confederate imprint, 3pp. octavo, being a House Bill "To regulate Furloughs and Discharges to Soldiers in Hospitals", in small part: "…The Congress of the Confederate States of America do enact, That in cities, towns or neighborhoods, where there are three or more hospitals, any three surgeons in charge of hospitals or divisions in hospitals as hereinafter provided, shall constitute a board of examiners for the hospitals to which they may belong, whose duty it shall be twice in each week to visit said hospitals, and as a board, examine all applicants for furloughs and discharges…" More.
