War-date Confederate field printed broadside, 5" x 8," issued by Maj. Gen. Jos. Wheeler, General Orders No. 2, "Head Qtr's, Wheeler's Cavalry Corps, February 10, 1864." This General Order opens with, "The following Schools of Instruction will be established and maintained at all times except when upon the march." It then continues definition and attendance of those schools, in small part, "The Captains and Lieutenants of each Regiment will be organized into a school .... These officers will be formed daily and thoroughly drilled by the Instructor in the School of the Trooper, Platoon, Squadron and in the use of the saber. The theoretical instruction will consist of the School of the Trooper, Platoon, Squadron, Evolution of the Regiment, and so much of the Army Regulations as relates to guard duty and maneuvering of troops." It continues with six points of further definition. Fine condition.
