War-date Confederate soldier’s Autograph Letter Signed by Marcus M. Bowers, Co. G, 12th Virginia Infantry, who was WIA & POW at Chancellorsville, later POW at Weldon Railroad, 1pp. octavo, February 27, 1865, Point Lookout, with cover addressed to Edwin Bowers, with nice POINT LOOKOUT cds, it reads in part: “...it seems like a long time since you have written and I feel lonesome if I don’t get letters to cheer me up...it is thought that the exchange will soon be through with and then I may be able to do as you wish...On the fifteenth I got a box of clothing from Norfolk cousin...I am greatly indebted and if it were possible would pay a visit there but I know not what will be my privileges when I leave here...” Fine condition.
