War-date Union soldier’s Autograph Letter Signed by Abraham Bair, 30th Pennsylvania Infantry, 4pp. octavo, November 26, 1861, Camp Pierpont, Fairfax County, Virginia, and reads in part: “...I am in for the ‘Union still’ Lou next Thursday I believe is Thanksgiving day, just think of me when you eat dinner. I expect we will have some bean soup and some salt pork about a half a century old....We were reviewed again the other day by Genl. McClellan and his staff and Old Abe and Secretaries Cameron & Seward but we had to march 10 miles to the review grounds and did not get back till night...There were about 70,000 troops in the field at the review...” Fine condition.
