War-date Union Manuscript Document, 7pp. quarto, Head Quarters, Deptartment of the Rappahannock, Manassas, June 27, 1862, issued to Brigadier General Van Rensselaer, Inspector General, prepared by Francis Hover, General McDowell’s ADC & Quartermaster, providing a written report of the status of the “Transportation Wagons of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Brigades, of the 1st Division” Regiments included are the 14th Indiana, 7th Virginia, 8th Ohio, 4th Ohio, 39th Illinois, 13th Indiana, 67th Ohio, and 62nd Ohio. Fine condition. Interesting notes include “One ambulance (4 horses) the seats & cushions of which have been destroyed (said to have been burned) ...One 2 horse ambulance too frail for the rough roads of Virginia.” More. Fine condition.
