War-date Union officer’s Manuscript Document Signed, “L.C. Coleman A.A.Genl.” issued to the commanding officer of the 57th Ohio Infantry, being Orders No. 52, 1pp. folio, Head Quarters 5th Division, Moscow, Tennessee, July 15, 1862, and reads in part: “...Pursuant to orders received from Genl. Head Quarters Corinth all the troops at or near Grand Junction belonging to Genl. McClernand’s Division will move by rail & by land to Bolivar where they will receive full instructions from Head Quarters. II. Genl. Hurlbert will march his Div. by the State Line Road through Moscow & camp on the west side of Bridge...He will be careful that nothing is left behind in the way of Provisions, Tents, or Stores of any kind...” VG.
