A good copyrighted 1863 war poem, 4to., printed in deep blue ink, boldly, entitled: "The REBEL RAID IN PENNSYLVANIA or That's Just So. Composed…by James D. Gay, of Philadelphia, the celebrated Army Song publisher…when our war…commenced we thought it would not be long…before 'Secesh' would be put down…there is Gen. Lee, that scoundrel of a man…that stole all the arms he could from Uncle Sam and then to get his rations, why he had to make a raid…Now Lee you'll have [to] leave our State. For Little Joe [Hooker] is on your tracks, and our Keystone boys is [in] front…now there's the Irish Sixty-Ninth, you cannot stand their yells…they make a splendid bayonet charge and cause you powder smell…they will meet you in that loyal State you long have tried to gain…and make her field the sea of stripes, as on the Richmond plains…". Matted for a great presentation. Fine.
