War-date Manuscript Document on form of the “United States Signal Telegraph”, 1pp. octavo, “By Telegraph from Stevenson Dated Nov. 8 1863.” addressed to Colonel Andrew Jackson Mackay (1827-1901), and reads “Outrages are daily committed by teamsters stealing mules from one anothers teams. My teams started front heavily loaded. The lead and saddle mules were taken from one team by men of the 10th Ohio, and brought back to this place, leaving the team so crippled it could not proceed. I have the men who stole the mules. The severest penalty should be inflicted to stop this mule stealing. Cant an order be issued making the penalty such as to put a stop to it?...” VG.
