Group of three Autograph Letters Signed, “Wm. Lee M.D.” totaling 9pp. octavo, dated January and February 1874, by a genealogist pertaining to the Artemas Lee family and addressed to Lucy B. Lee, they read in part: “...I have been exceedinlgy pleased and intereste at receiving so full and valuable an addition to my - or should say family Records through you - and particularly in the proud record you have through your children by their participation in the late war - it seemed fitting that a grandson of General Samuel Lee should be to the front at his country call...For my own part I have done but little being a medical student at the outbreak of the rebellion - but was among the first to do hospital service to the wounded sons of Massachusetts, after their passage through Baltimore in ‘61...” Much more about the Lee family and Williams connection to Lucy.
