TIBBETS, Jr., Paul (1915-2007) was a brigadier general in the United States Air Force, best known for being the pilot of the Enola Gay, the first aircraft to drop an atomic bomb in the history of warfare. The bomb, code-named Little Boy, was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. 50th Anniversary End of World War II cover signed “Paul Tibbets” with Atomic bomb stamp - that was denied by the US postal service, and August 14, 1995 cds. Fine condition.
