A courageous figure whose strength of character saved her nation in her darkest days of WWII. Pencil sketch signed "Winston S. Churchill, March 1940", 8-1/2” x 6-1/2", also signed by the artist "Swamy". Very Fine, professionally three-level matting and framed to an overall 18-1/2” x 22-1/2”.
