CLINTON, William Jefferson (b. 1946) is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States (1993–2001). Before that, he was Governor of the state of Arkansas. Inaugurated at age 46, he was the third-youngest president. He took office at the end of the Cold War, and was the first president of the baby boomer generation. The Clinton administration launched the first official White House website on October 21, 1994. He ratified NAFTA, and appointed two justices to the Supreme Court.
