Autograph Letter Signed by James Parton, 2pp. octavo, New York, March 1, 1862, and reads in part: “...I regret to say in reply to your polite note ...that I have long ago given away the last scrap of Gen. Jackson’s writing which was mine to give....”and goes on to state that William B. Lewis, Francis Blair, Amos Kendall, may have one for him. Fine condition.
