Part of the rarest of early photography assemblages in American History is this Civil War era CDV showing Revolutionary War veteran Samuel Downing, Aged 102, who served with the 2nd Regiment New Hampshire, Captain Derrick's Company 1780-1783. Fought in the Mohawk Valley, Bemis Heights, New York. N.A. & R.A. Moore backmark. Crease at top right of mount, else very good condition.
