Civil War discharge for "Benjamin Woodland Private of Captain Levi Graybill's Company (E0 22nd Regiment of U.S. Colored Troops..." 1pp. quarto, signed by Captain Levi Graybill and Daniel Mortimer Lee (1840-1914) who had service with the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery, the 29th Connecticut Infantry, and 19th Regular Infantry. Benjamin Woodland, a free man of color, is listed as being born in "Atlantic County in the State of New Jersey" a laborer by occupation. Very good condition.
