Partly-printed Document Signed, "F.W. Liedtke" 2nd Lt. 43rd U.S. Infantry, 1p. oblong folio, February 1, 1868, Moncks Corner, South Carolina, being his pay voucher for January 1868, while on occupation duty, in which he claims expenses for his negro servant "Frank Washington" with transmittal letter from Liedtke to Paymaster Nicholls sending this pay voucher, as well as a Southern Express telegram acknowledging receipt of payment as well as another ALS by Liedtke accepting payment to Colonel Nicholls. All VG.Frederick William Liedtke served in the 97th and 11th Pennsylvania Infantry, WIA on the first day of Gettysburg, and then served with the Veteran Reserves Corps until the end of the war and then Regular Army service until 1871.
