Two Newspapers, Harper's Weekly, New York, each 16pp., complete issues, disbound, October 17, 1874 and October 24, 1874, VG. From the October 17, 1874 issue, a center spread shows Lady Justice confronting the White Men's League with the sword of the constitution, and a small cartoon depicting a masked white man with rifle lurking outside a Black preacher's church. From the October 24, 1874 issue an extraordinary Nast cartoon showing the White League and the Klan joining hands around a skull with two blacks cowering beneath this unholy union.
