Newspaper, "The Graphic," Chicago, March 26, 1892, 24pp., occasional edge tear not affecting images. Most dramatic front page illustrates "An Incident of the Race Conflict in the South, Duel Between Negroes and Deputy Sheriffs at 'The Curve' Near Memphis, Tennessee, March 7." Depicts Black men in a shoot out with White Sheriffs. An interior page provides the story. the Black men, Thomas Moss, William Stewart and Calvin McDowell were jailed, then on March 9, a mob toke them from the jail, shot and lynched them.
