Pair of prints, each 1p. 14-3/4"x10-1/2", 1901, in color, produced by the New York Herald, includes: "De Burglar Brigade as told by Poor Lil Mose"...plus; "Happy Lil' Sal as the Queen of the May." VG. (2 items) Richard Felton Outcault (18631928) was an American comic strip writer-artist. He was the creator of the series The Yellow Kid and Buster Brown, and he is considered the inventor of the modern comic strip. "Pore Lil' Mose" was the lead comic strip in the Sunday color supplement of The New York Herald newspaper from December 1900 until August 1902
