Wonderful folk art painting signed by "W. Fisher" an African-American painter from South Carolina, dated 1966, oil on canvas, measures 18"x24", with a deeply disturbing image of a beaten man seated in a prison cell with a man of the cloth behind him. Good use a light cleaning, else a very good Southern folk art painting from the Civil Rights era.
