War-date Confederate soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by Thomas W.G. Inglett, Company C, 28th Georgia Vols, WIA at Cold Harbor and Darbytown Road, 2pp. octavo, Petersburg, August 12, 1864, and reads in part: "...We blew up the Yanks the other day but we did not charge them and all got killed like did us when the ground bursted. They all run for life. It frightened them so and we stood in our works and had our fun a shooting them but they soon rallied and came back to their works. All of our artillery opened on them and it was terrific for a while...." Fine condition.
