Inglett, Company C, 28th Georgia Vols, WIA at Cold Harbor and Darbytown Road, 2pp. octavo, Petersburg, Virginia, September 18, 1864, and reads in part: "...we was relieved out of the ditches to go down on the right of the line to fight. We stayed 2 days and taken one hundred and seventy one of the blue birds and then went back to our old place again. ...I am not surprised at the Fall of Atlanta for all the troops that you wrote to me had got wounded in the back. All of ours gets it in the head or breast. I think that Georgia is gone up if we don't come to its assistance but I hope not...I will have to close as I expect some fun with the Yanks soon..."
