War-date Confederate soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by Thomas W.G. Inglett, Company C, 28th Georgia Vols, WIA at Cold Harbor and Darbytown Road, 4pp. octavo, April 8, 1864, Baldwin, Florida, and reads in part:" ...I was glad to hear that you was well but it liked to killed me when I read the death of the dear little one who I so dearly loved, but God giveth and God taketh away. God bless its little soul. It is gone to its home. This world is not our home...I hope we will meet our three sweet little ones in that Kingdom...I hope the day is not far distant when I shall see my dear little children...Some of the Sixth Georgia had a little skirmish the other day with the Yankees and six or seven of them got wounded. My Dear, there is no chance for me to come home for we are looking every day for a large battle. We expect the Yankees to attack us..." Fine condition.
