War-date Confederate imprint, "A Bill To be entitled An Act supplemental to the several acts relating to military courts." 3pp. octavo, and reads in part: "...The Congress of the Confederate States of America do enact, That so much of the act authorizing the organization of military courts as provides for the appointment of provost marshal of such courts is hereby repealed, and the office of provost marshal is abolished...Additional military courts may be organized by the President when the service may require it, not exceeding one for each State; and also one for each separate command of cavalry, consisting of one or more divisions of an army; which courts shall have the same powers as are or may be conferred by law on military courts heretofore organized...Any member of a military court who shall be intoxicated while on duty, or who shall be so intoxicated as to prevent his attendance to his duty, shall be liable to arrest and trial as other army officers, and on conviction shall be cashiered..."
