War-date Confederate soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by Bradford Fitzgerald, 11th Texas Infantry, 2pp. octavo, Head Quarters Ordnance Train, Walker's Division, July 1, 1864, and reads in part: "... I cannot write long for Im yet making up my Qr'ly & that under very disparable circumstances for yesterday evening as I was entering Voucher 79 a minie ball struck the desk within six inches of my Pate [head in old English]. In short not 10 minutes elapsed that two or more such companions done visit my headquarters....Willie Erwin (Jno. H. Erwin son) had his leg shot off a few days ago. He commanded Will Foster's Co...." Fine condition.
