MITCHELL, Julian (1834-1918) Aide on staff of General Ripley, and with the general when Ripley was wounded at Sharpsburg. Taken prisoner at Gettysburg he was imprisoned on Johnson's Island before being exchanged by Major Pruyn of New York. Document Signed "Julian Mitchell" as notary public, December 12, 1876. Fine condition....plus; MOORE, Andrew B. (1806-1873) Confederate Governor of Alabama who ordered the seizure of Pensacola and organized state troops. Signature on small piece of paper "A.B. Moore." Irregular margin, but good signature. (2 items)
