War-date Union soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by Reuben Wilson, 7th Pennsylvania Reserve Infantry, 4pp. octavo, on Regimental stationary with matching cover, Camp Pierpont, December 5, 1861, and reads in part: "...I think we will have to lay here all winter and guard while the fighting will be going on down below. I tell you we are skinning this country pretty nice of wood. A fence cant be seen anymore. The woods that we came into is all used for houses and fire wood and now we will begin to burn the brush...We don't drill much but make the tobacco suffer..." Fine condition.
