Songsheet, "MOUNTED RIFLEMEN" composed by R.B. Nicol, for Col. Swain's Regt. Volunteer Cavalry, 1pp. octavo, with nice image of mounted soldier at top. Fine condition. James B. Swain was commissioned as 1st lieutenant of the 1st US Army Cavalry in November 1861, who was given his own command, the 11th New York Cavalry in April, 1862, and led his troops from the fields of Virginia to Tennessee.
