War-date Union soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by William T. Benjamin, 4th Delaware Infantry, 3pp. quarto, Camp 4th Delaware Vols, Virginia, January 29, 1865, with cover, it reads in part: "...William was telling me a short time ago about his sister cutting the head of a secessionist and knocking him down and then stomping him. He said the man talked about having a lawsuit about it. The fight came off in Leipsic..." More on furloughs and hunting. Very good condition.
