War-date Union officer's Document Signed by Gottils D.B. Inemis, Colonel of the 68th New York Infantry, 1pp. oblong octavo, June 6, 1863, and reads "Received from the Committee on National Affairs of the Common Council of the City of New York the Stand of Colors for the 68th Regiment N.Y.S. Volunteers..." Near fine condition. At Gettysburg the total loss was 138 and the 68th New York regiment won high praise for its gallant work in the defense of Cemetery hill.
