Newspaper, Frank Leslie's Illustrated, August 8, 1863, complete issue, 16pp., disbound, AG. War date issue with reports and engravings of the War. Strong engravings include the center spread, "Invasion of Maryland - General Buford's Action With Stuart's Rebel Cavalry at Boonsboro ...," and a full page engraving "Arrival at Chickasaw Bayou of the Negro Slaves of Jefferson Davis From His Plantation on the Mississippi." Plenty reports and engravings regarding Vicksburg. The front cover has minor paper loss as a result of the removal of the mailing label.
