War-date Union soldier's Autograph Letter Signed by Samuel P. Hartman, 1pp. octavo, pencil, June 6, 1864, Cold Harbor, Virginia, with integral cover addressed to his brother Jefferson at Turner's Lane hospital in Philadelphia, it reads "I am well at present. I hope it will find you the same. I was in some hard fights already. There was a good many killed out of our company Rhine and Heimback, there were was in my tent last winter. Them was killed we whipped the rebs in every fight we had yet this summer. We have fights every day..." About very good condition.
