Fine example of soldiers artwork, being a 3pp. octavo, hand drawn theatre invitation illustrated by a member of the 24th Massachusetts Volunteers. Dated February 9, 1864. In full color. Fine condition. The 24th Mass. were a well fought unit, participating in the Battle of New Berne, the Assault on Fort Wagner and the Battle of Deep Bottom. They lost during service 7 Officers and 90 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 122 Enlisted men by disease.
