Pencil sketch by Sergeant Eugene B. Hovey, 37th Massachusetts Infantry, WIA at Spotsylvania Court House, 1pp. 4-3/4”x7-3/4”, of the various forms of punishment of Union soldiers. Includes soldier carrying log, soldier standing on barrell and a soldier with a “wooden overcoat.” Very good condition.
