War-date Union officer's printed Letter Signed by George B. Drake (1838-1921) who served with the 12th Massachusetts Infantry and the 6th U.S Regulars rising to rank of lieutenant colonel and being brevetted general at the close of the war, 1pp. quarto, Head Quarters Department of the Gulf, New Orleans, May 27, 1864, addressed to the Commanding Officer of the 2nd New York Veteran Cavalry, stating that the general requires a complete roster of the command. Fine condition.
