Muster roll for the 127th United States Colored Troops, 2pp. large folio, April 30, 1865, near Petersburg, Virginia, signed by Lt. Edwin Hinchliffe and Lt. James Given, recording all the soldiers of the unit, with remarks "The Compy since last muster has passed through the late campaign resulting in the occupation of Richmond & Petersburg & the surrender of Lee's Army. On the morning of Sunday the 2nd of April it passed near the enemy's works near Hatcher's Run; on the morning of the 3rd it passed through Petersburg was operating against the enemy Sunday the 9th day of his surrender & returning arrived off Petersburg the 18th of April where it has been since." Government tape, else good condition.
